MESSAGE FROM BECCA McClenahen
My name is Becca McClenahen and I am
the Rock 'N Kids Director. My desire is to build a sincere friendship
with both the children and their parents. I truly want our kids
to know that they will always have a friend named Becca. I too was
raised the church, just as these Rock'N Kids are now. But somehow,
I ended up with misconceptions about being a Christian. I took on
the role in my family as "the good little girl" because
I thought that is what it meant and what I had to do in order to
be a Christian. But now I understand that God loves, likes, and
adores me. Whether I get straight A's or not. Whether I help someone
with a project or not, or whether I find out that everybody likes
me or not. I want our Rock 'N Kids to truly understand in the hearts
that nothing is performance based. I think that sometimes people
still look at me and see "the good little girl," but I
am doing it all unto Jesus, not to please others.
